Performance
Ready for Adventure
The Santa Cruz is equipped with a standard 2.5L inline 4-cylinder engine that generates 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, it can tow up to 3,500 pounds! With capability like that, you can tow:
- A pop-up camper
- A small fishing boat
- A couple of jet skis
- A utility trailer with a few dirt bikes
Which towable toy will you hitch up?
Making Power Moves
In the Santa Cruz, you can upgrade to the available 2.5L inline 4-cylinder turbo engine and get:
- 281 horsepower
- 311 lb-ft torque
- 5,000-pound towing capacity (when properly equipped)
Compared to these specs, the Ford Maverick simply doesn’t measure up. Even with its strongest engine, a 2.0L EcoBoost® engine, you’ll only have 250 horsepower, 277 lb-ft of torque, and a towing capacity of 4,000 pounds when properly equipped.
Technology
Crystal-Clear Connectivity
Both the Santa Cruz and the Maverick offer wireless connectivity for your smartphone, giving you instant access to your device through either Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. Moreover, you can equip the Santa Cruz with an available 10.25-inch touchscreen display with navigation. The Maverick, in comparison, only offers an 8-inch LCD touchscreen.
Gauge Your Truck’s Performance
In either truck, you can stay attuned to your vehicle’s performance via integrated instrument clusters. However, you may have an easier time viewing your speed or activated systems on the Hyundai’s available 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
On the other hand, the Maverick’s instrument cluster can be upgraded to 6.5 inches.
